Whistler certainly has a reputation for being fast-paced and adrenaline-filled, which can be overwhelming when looking at how to fill the days of your summer holiday. Let Whistler breaks shakedown the best of our resort town activities this summer to make planning a little easier…

Fun for the whole family:

Treetop Adventures with The Adventure Group: Give your aerial skills a go and swing through the forest at Cougar mountain. With over 70 elements ranging from mild to wild, this is sure to be an experience you won’t soon forget! The Treetop Adventure Course is a natural team-building activity and the perfect adventure to share with family, friends and strangers alike. Treetop courses range from specifically designed kids courses to advanced adult, there really is something for the whole family. Expect to spend up to 2 hours on the beginner courses and up to 4 hours on the advanced full course.

Ziplining with TAG WhistlerTry out one of the longest ziplines in Canada, again in the beauty of Cougar mountain. Ride multiple dual zip lines connected to each other with a series of trails and boardwalks. The Adventure groups unique zip line allows guests to ride side by side (each on their own cable) so you can share this incredible experience with your family members! *Minimum age for this activity is 7 years

Hiking High note/Half note on Whistler mountain: Let the adrenaline re-set and take in the mountain air from the peak of Whistler. There are multiple trails on both Whistler and Blackcomb (accessed via the Gondola with a sightseeing pass) but High Note has a reputation for being one of the best. Cloaked in a bed of wildflowers from late July to early August, and with stunning views of Cheakamus Lake, Black Tusk and the surrounding peaks- it’s easy to see why. If you’re a seasoned hiker, this 9.5km loop may take approximately 4 hours and is classed as intermediate, the Half Note trail provides a shorter version at just 3.2km. Be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen, water and layers when heading into the mountains. Weather can change quickly-always be prepared.

Vallea Lumina: Vallea Lumina is a pathway through an old-growth forest that will take visitors of all ages through a magical night walk full of hidden wonders, telling a story that unfolds in chapters along the way. An unmissable experience and a great way to fill the evenings/really tire the kids out… Cougar mountain is a short 10-minute drive from Whistler villagebring layers as the forest may get chilly in the evening.

Adrenaline Fueled Adventures:

Whistler Bungee: Looking to get your heart racing? Whistler Bungee is an incredible place to experience your first bungee jump. It gives thrill seekers an unforgettable experience by jumping 160ft (50 meters) over the glacial-fed Cheakamus River- whether you jump on your own, or in tandem! Just 20 minutes drive from Whistler Village and easily accessible from the Sea2sky!

Whistler Bike ParkThe ultimate gravity-fed downhill biking experience, drawing mountain bikers from across the world! Whistler bike park is world-renowned, an adrenaline-pumping experience whether you’re a first-timer or have years of bike experience. All ability levels are catered for with a series of mountain zones from cruisey greens and blues, technical blacks and double blacks and some of the best jump lines in the world.

First timers- Enjoy the chairlift ride and get used to your bike on Easy does it- taking you on a long groomed trail from the top of Fitzsimmons chair back to base.

RZR Tours with The Adventure Group: Four wheels appeal more to your active soul? Each RZR tour begins in the temperate forest base camp where your guide will explain how to operate these fast and fun machines. You will then have the opportunity to explore glacial lakes, rivers and beautiful mountain vistas, all whilst ripping around on a fast 4×4 buggy! There are trails and options ranging from the confident beginner to advanced, combining a great mix of exploring, adventure and sightseeing! *Tours last between 1.5 and 2 hoursCougar mountain is a 10-minute self drive/taxi ride from Whistler village.
